We are pleased to say that Action against hunger raised a record £353,267 from their Fine Wine Auction and Dinner event on Saturday 2nd December– the most they have ever raised in one night, and the equivalent of saving the lives of 8,400 malnourished children.
What’s even better is that the vast majority of this will be matched by the UK Government to support the Healthy Mums Healthy Kids campaign in Senegal.
This year’s event took place again at the brilliant venue 1 Lombard Street, London.
Each year, the event unites some of the UK’s top chefs to cook a fantastic bespoke meal for guests. This year’s chefs included Michel Roux Jr. (Le Gavroche), Ken Hom (MEE Restaurant), Paul Ainsworth (Paul Ainsworth at No 6) and Ollie Dabbous (Dabbous). The night was hosted by acclaimed actor Hugh Bonneville.
Champagnes and Châteaux support each year Action against hunger and donated this year Champagne Thiénot Cuvée Alain 2007 in magnums for their Fine Wine Auction & Dinner.
