Now called Champagne Live, the annual tasting will be housed in two neighbouring rooms at Kensington Olympia on May 22, and will be hosted in association with the London Wine Fair, which takes place from 21-23 May, and fills the Olympia Grand Hall

Breaking away from any traditional tasting set-up, the concept is immersive and interactive; tailored to engage and enrich visitors with knowledge via a programme of live streaming direct from Champagne, experts exploring topical themes and debates, real-time Q&A sessions, creative design and a number of social media activations.

Three themed pathways will create the heart of the tasting experience, with each signposted trail preseting a style of specific interest to the UK market to be confirmed shortly. Visitors will undertake their own Champagne journey, discovering the diversity of Champagne as they weave through themed tables and displays.

Guests will include the off and on-trade, joined by media and digital influencers, from 10am to 4.30pm (by invitation only). In an exciting new addition, for the first time ever the Champagne Bureau UK will open the doors of its tasting to consumers. From 6-9pm the themed tables will evolve into individual brand spaces, giving exhibitors the opportunity to showcase up to 5 different champagne styles to the public.

Following last year’s success, Champagne Masterclasses will return in a bigger and improved format. Not only will they be expanded to accommodate a larger audience, but there will be a greater number, each surrounding a carefully chosen theme and presented by an expert joining the event especially from Champagne.
