DOURTHE VINEYARDS

Established in 1840, Dourthe has become the gold standard in winemaking in Bordeaux, with its distinctive culture defined by a special bond with the soil, a love of fine things and exceptionally high standards.

The nine estates making up Dourthe have all been raised to the very heights of their respective appellations, while the continued success of Dourthe N°1 since its launch reflects its daring approach and uncompromising quality policy.

  • “To really discover the true Essence of Dourthe you have to be there and absorb the passion that goes into every drop of their wines, which for me came true thanks to Maison Dourthe at Château Pey La Tour and Champagnes & Chateaux.”

  • Grand Vin de Ricaud

Chateau de Ricaud has returned to the glory days of a century ago when its sweet Loupiac wines were the talk of the town. Now, under the careful nurturing of Vignobles Alain Thiénot, it has added the Grand Vin de Chateau de Ricaud – a triumphant red of comparable quality. There is a cru classé concentration of colour and fruit in the Grand Vin and in the 2011 the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are maturing with extraordinary distinction.”

  • “I can offer nothing but praise, an excellent range of well-cellared wines, I now no longer have to trawl the internet looking for French Château Wines as most of what I need is offered by Champagnes and Châteaux with great attention to detail, a small but beautifully formed wine supplier.”
