Nestling in the valley above Chassagne and Puligny-Montrachet, lie the two villages of Gamay and Saint Aubin. Sharing the Saint-Aubin appellation, they are immensely proud of their proximity to Le Montrachet itself. After extensive tasting we discovered Sylvain Langoureau with the very style we were looking for – rich, generous, subtly-oaked, well-balanced acidity.

Tasting Note
Very fresh, oily and rich wine. Very attractive toasted notes. The palate is also fresh with a beautiful length
Burghound Tasting Note
This is markedly more floral-inflected on the combination of various white-fleshed fruit, citrus and discreet spice wisps. The caressing, supple and equally seductive flavors possess slightly better density while exhibiting good complex and persistence on the balanced and moderately firm finale. This is a wine that should age well over the mid-term yet be reasonably approachable young. 90 Points, June 2020
Food Pairing
Will pair beautifully with natural flavour dishes: cooked oysters, chicken in cream sauce, skate wings. The notes rich of iodine will particularly suit this pairing.
