Domaine Sylvain Langoureau
Saint-Aubin Villages, 2018

Nestling in the valley above Chassagne and Puligny-Montrachet, lie the two villages of Gamay and Saint Aubin. Sharing the Saint-Aubin appellation, they are immensely proud of their proximity to Le Montrachet itself. After extensive tasting we discovered Sylvain Langoureau with the very style we were looking for – rich, generous, subtly-oaked, well-balanced acidity.

Tasting Note

Attractive golden shiny appearance with deep yellow tints. The nose is open, slightly toasted and very mature with a touch of red fruit aromas (blackberries). The dominating aromas are centered around spices and white fruits.

The palate is rich, very round, buttery with a beautiful length. It is a very delicious wine with beautiful appearance.

Burghound Tasting Note

Cool and airy aromas of citrus, green apple and petrol introduce racy, well-detailed and lightly mineral-inflected flavors that conclude in a saline, linear and moderately dry finale. This delicious effort should drink well shortly after release. 88 Points, June 2020
