News and Blogs

For nearly three decades, we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying the exquisite wines produced by the Trapet estate, a name synonymous with exceptional Gevrey-Chambertin and Alsace. Maison Trapet has a magnificent heritage (Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, among others), worked with respect for the terroir and biodynamically. Year after year, their wines have left us in awe. Today, we are thrilled to share with you an extraordinary experience that goes beyond wine tasting—a chance to dine with the very artisans behind these legendary wines.

The Trapet family has opened the doors of their Maison d’hôtes in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, inviting wine enthusiasts to join them for an intimate and unforgettable dining experience. Nestled in the charming old village, just a stone’s throw from the vineyards, Maison Trapet is not just a place to eat; it’s a sanctuary for those who appreciate the art of winemaking and the rich culinary heritage of Burgundy.

A Unique Experience: Les Jeudis de la Maison

The Trapet family, eager to meet their passionate customers personally and share their greatest wines, has launched an exceptional experience. ‘Les Jeudis de la maison ‘, held one Thursday per month from May to October 2024, is an exclusive opportunity to dine in the company of Jean-Louis and Andrée Trapet, the passionate winemakers who have crafted these extraordinary wines for generations —it’s a journey into the heart of Burgundy, shared with those who know it best.

€180 per person includes an immersive tour of the vineyards and cellars, an authentic and intimate dinner in the presence of Jean-Louis and Andrée Trapet, and a tasting of 6 exceptional wines from Burgundy and Alsace (Grand Cru Chambertin, Grand Cru Sporen, Gevrey-Chambertin 1859, Meursault P&L, Aligoté P&L, Ambre macération) vintages to discover on the table.

They source the food from the renowned chef in the region, Guillaume Royer, “Meilleur ouvrier de France” and chef of the local restaurant “Les Griottes. On the menu, all traditional delicious Burgundian fayre (gougères, escargots and coq au vin amongst them). In the presence of winemakers Jean-Louis and Andrée Trapet, guests will enjoy a unique tasting dinner designed around the three estates, Jean-Louis in Gevrey-Chambertin, Andrée in Alsace and the sons Pierre & Louis on the Côte de Beaune, ensuring you feel connected and valued.
