“I love Christmas food, so it’s hard to pinpoint my favourite, but oysters are pretty special in my book at Christmas. Being French, oysters are on every French table, bringing back fond childhood memories. The only drawback is opening them….but that is part of the Christmas ritual! We eat them with rye bread and butter with sea salts. Perfect match!
I enjoy them with a nice glass of champagne or Riesling, but as I’ll be in the Loire, I’ll enjoy a local Muscadet Sur-Lie from Domaine Gadais. So crisp and elegant with a gorgeous freshness, a wonderful partner to oysters, but I also really like this wine on its own. Fantastic value for the quality!”
