Château La Garde Blanc 2018, Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux

The 2018 vintage is a masterclass in purity and elegance from the great white wines of Château La Garde.

Intense aromas of white flowers and citrus, with a mineral dimension so typical of sauvignon cultivated on limestone. Lively and revealing great poise on the palate. The wine develops a certain richness on the palate, influenced by Semillon cultivated on gravel, which harmonises to perfection with the fresh finish.

La Terrasse de La Garde 2018, Pessac-Léognan

Second wine of Chateau La Garde, La Terrasse is a beautiful rich and balanced wine.

Initially supple and straightforward, the wine is rich, full-bodied, rounded and beautifully balanced, underpinned by delicate tannic structure. This harmonious wine culminates in an appealing, aromatic flourish on the finish.

Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St Jacques, 2017, Burgundy

A classic red Burgundy from this 9 ha family winery for Father’s Day

“Deft wood influence frames brooding and reticent aromas of various dark berries, humus-suffused forest floor and herbal tea. There is solid density and evident power and minerality to the medium weight flavors that deliver very good length on the robust, compact, focused and youthfully austere finish. This is a classically styled LSJ and will require at least some forbearance.” 92 Points ♥, Burghound, Jan 2020

Domaine Stéphane Pichat Côte-Rôtie Les Grandes Places, 2014, Rhone

Les Grandes Places is made from a single plot on this fabulous site, matured for 36 months in new oak barriques. A really special wine for Father’s Day!

“The inky-coloured 2014 Côte Rôtie les Grandes Places is a rocking success in the vintage. Giving up tons of black fruits, scorched earth, wood smoke and crushed rock aromas and flavours, this beauty is medium-bodied, fresh and focused on the palate, with building fine tannin and juicy acidity. It will have 10-15 years of longevity.” 92 points, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

Domaine Fond Croze “En Long En Large et En Travers” IGP Méditerranée 2019 ORGANIC, Rhone

« En LONG en large et en Travers » is defined as the bottle for friends par excellence! A balanced red wine from the South of France with a beautiful expression of fruit with fine and rounded tannins. A welcoming bottle, easy drinking, without pretence.

Fruity, delicious, crunchy, fresh and so enjoyable!

Mas Mudigliza Côtes du Roussillon Villages “Coume des Loups”2019, Languedoc-Roussillon

Staying in the South of France with two wines from Château La Voulte-Gasparets. Going back six generations this is one of the most illustrious names of the Languedoc Roussillon wine industry.

Château La Voulte-Gasparets Corbières Boutenac Cuvée Romain Pauc, 2015,Languedoc-Roussillon

A grand Vin du Languedoc!

L’Aventure Optimus Estate, 2014, California Paso Robles

L’Aventure is an iconic winery in Paso Robles lead by Stephan Asseo. Stephan, elected Paso Robles Wine Industry Person of the Year in 2014, is “Without a doubt, one of the Central Coast superstars and one of the references in California”, according to Jeb Dunnuck (Wine Advocate)…

“…It’s a supple, seamless and elegant wine that gives a small window into the quality and style from this terrific estate. Its deep purple color is followed by classy notes of black raspberries, spice box, dried flowers and underbrush in a full-bodied, balanced and lengthy package. It lacks the depth and length of the top cuvee here, but it is nevertheless a beautiful wine to drink over the coming 7-8 years.” 92 Points, Wine Advocate, Jeb Dunuck, August 2016

And why not treat your dad to a magnum?

Domaine des Entrefaux Crozes-Hermitage Les Machonnières 2013 (Organic), Rhone (magnum)

A fantastic Crozes-Hermitage from this well-established family winery. The 2013 vintage comes in a magnum.

Ripe, spicy character with some vegetal notes and balanced oak, rose and leather, olive, blackberry and fruit in alcohol, artichoke, cocoa and ras-el-anout. The palate is full and silky.

Château de Ricaud Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, 2015 (magnum)

The consistently high standards of recent vintages have made this a rising star in Côtes de Bordeaux, offering well-structured, complex wines, combining intense fruit with lovely soft character.

Smooth on the attack, with well-integrated tannins and well-rounded on the palate. The wine evolves amid the well-balanced structure, underpinned by lovely freshness on the finish.

Dixon’s Double Diamond 10 Year Old Tawny Port NV

Port is not just for Christmas. It is a great wine all year round, and a perfect drink or present for father’s day.

The grapes come from the finest vineyards of the sun-baked upper Douro Valley. Carefully matured in oak casks in the cool, dark lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, it develops a rich, tawny colour and a smooth, complex taste with hints of apricots and dried fruits.
