LAUNCH OF SOAVE AND VALPOLICELLA FROM ILLASI VERONA
News and Blogs

We are so pleased to have launched the agency of Marco Mosconi in Illasi Veneto. We have been looking for a producer of Soave and Valpolicella for some time, and fell unanimously in love with Marco’s wines when we tasted them. A wonderful family winery after our own heart, run by Marco and his wife Valentina.

The Marco Mosconi farm is located in the eastern part of Valpolicella, in the Illasi Valley embraced by the splendid hills adorned with vineyards, olive groves and cherry trees. A territory characterised by history, art, culture and food and wine.

Marco Mosconi farm practices an organic and sustainable agriculture.

The story of Marco Mosconi is that of a young man full of enthusiasm and passion for the craft of winemaker.

For three generations his family has cultivated and worked the vineyards, but it was only in 2006 that he decided to make his own wine combining his two personality traits: his technique acquired during his studies and his sensitivity which he holds from his passion for music. His training combines two ways of thinking and acting: on the one hand the practicality of Surveyor technical studies, on the other hand the sensitivity transmitted by studies at the Conservatory of Music which ended with a trumpet diploma.

His goal is to find in these cuvées the terroir, his personality and authenticity.

Organic and sustainable agriculture

“We are convinced that a system of agriculture, able to respect the earth and all living things, is the right way to obtain the grapes and authentic wines.
Our aims are therefore to find a balance with the environment and respect for natural cycles. Wine is the poetry of the earth”

Respect for the past and future research

Everything done in the respect and understanding of nature and its cycles, through the experimentation of winemaking that enhances the variety of the vine and the areas of Illasi and the Mezzane Valley.

They have started some new and exciting projects this spring:

“We are starting a new adventure with bees  and medicinal herbs within our farm. The goal is to self-produce the herbs and essences we use for the treatments in the vineyard. Bees bring biodiversity into the environment, and who knows, maybe a few pots of honey”.
