Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Bourgogne Pinot Noir, 2019 Organic

    Information

"The 2019 Bourgogne Rouge mingles notes of sweet berries and cherries with loamy soil and raw cocoa in an inviting mélange, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered palate that's lively and succulent, concluding with a long, sapid finish. This delicious wine is a fine introduction to the portfolio." 89 Points, Wine Advocate, William Kelley, January 2021

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Bourgogne Chardonnay, 2019 Organic

    Information

"Fragrant scents of orange blossom, honey, white flowers and peaches introduce Trapet's 2019 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium-bodied, fleshy and exotic wine that's ample, satiny and open-knit. As I've written before, perhaps it's the powers of suggestion at work, but its subtly musky bouquet seems to nod to Trapet's work in Alsace". 87 Points, Wine Advocate, William Kelley, February 2020

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chambertin Grand Cru, 2011

    Information

"A discreet touch of wood sets off equally cool, ultra-pure and restrained aromas of dark berries, earth, wet stone and a gorgeous panoply of floral elements. There is superb intensity to the powerful and tautly muscular large-scaled flavors that exude a very fine minerality on the overtly austere, serious and strikingly long finish that delivers a whole other dimension of complexity. As Chambertin goes, this is not an especially big or brawny wine and while the word finesse is not really apt in this case, it is more refined than usual." 94 Points, Burghound, January 2014

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chambertin Grand Cru, 2013

    Information

"Once again an intensely floral nose is quite cool and restrained with a soft green tea character to the earthy and spicy red currant scents. This is a big 2013 with its broad-shouldered flavors that brim with both dry extract and plenty of minerality as I really like the sense of energy on the explosively long, muscular and powerful finish that is also quite youthfully austere. This stunner of a Chambertin is going to need plenty of time in a cool cellar." 94 Points, Burghound, January 2016

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chambertin Grand Cru, 2015 Organic

    Information

"The 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru has a beautifully composed, almost nonchalant bouquet with intense blackberry and wild strawberry fruit infused with superb mineral tension. You can feel the terroir here tingling on the tongue. The palate is wonderfully balanced with a sorbet-like freshness. This almost leaps around the mouth, barely able to contain its energy and there is bewitching salinity on the persistence finish. Frankly, it is one of the best Chambertin wines produced in 2015." 96/98 Points, Wine Advocate, Neal Martin. Dec 2016

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2009 Organic

    Information

"The 2009 Chapelle-Chambertin is the richest, roundest and most open of the Trapet Grand Crus. It is also the Grand Cru that shows the most vintage influence vis-a-vis the 2008s. High-toned expressive aromatics lead to a warm, radiant core of fruit. In 2009 the Chapelle is round, sweet, full and totally inviting from start to finish. The wine’s accessible personality is a very nice counter to the typically firm house style. Accordingly, the Chapelle should be the most enjoyable of the 2009 Grand Crus for early drinking. Trapet describes Chapelle as the domaine’s first vineyard to flower and ripen. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039." 94 Points, Wine Advocate, Antonio Galloni, May 2011

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2010 Organic

    Information

"The 2010 Chapelle-Chambertin is a haunting wine graced with exquisite aromatics and layers of silky fruit. This is all class and elegance. The 2010 boasts striking inner perfume and sweetness all the way through to the finish. There is a level of textural brilliance and finesse here that is just plain gorgeous. Anticipated maturity: 2025-2040." 92-94 Points, Wine Advocate, Antonio Galloni, Feb 2012

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2013

    Information

"The 2013 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has an austere bouquet that wants to be taken seriously. You feel like disturbing someone reading a classic novel. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin that envelop a core of very pure dark cherry and cassis fruit that belie the structure underneath. Again, there is superb focus and energy within, completing what is a very impressive Chapelle-Chambertin."92-94 Points, Wine Advocate, Neal Martin, December 2014

  • Powerful and wonderfully elegant!

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2015 Organic

    Information

"The 2015 Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru has a flipping gorgeous bouquet with perfumed black cherries and blueberry fruit intermingling with subtle undergrowth and woodland aromas. It has razor-sharp precision and superb focus. The palate is medium-bodied with very crisp tannin. There is impressive precision in situ, a beguiling sense of energy percolation through the red berry fruit, merging with more black fruit towards the finish. It actually bears similarities to Domaine Dugat's Chapelle Chambertin this year, both exuding terroir expression and joie-de-vivre. This is superb" 95-97 Points, Wine Advocate, Neal Martin, December 2016

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Gevrey Chambertin Cuvée Ostréa Vieilles Vignes, 2018 Organic

    Information

"The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Ostrea is showing beautifully, unwinding in the glass with a deeper-pitched bouquet of cassis, dark berry fruit, baking chocolate, rich soil tones and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and mineral, this has a more structured, tensile profile than the domaine's regular Gevrey, as well as greater reserves of tightly wound fruit. As readers will remember, this cuvée derives from old vines in the commune of Brochon." William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 90-92 Points – February 2020

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2015 Organic

    Information

"A discreet application of wood frames the even more complex nose of high-toned, cool and airy aromas of red and dark cherry, forest floor, rose petal and spice elements. The sleek, intense and once again highly sophisticated middle-weight plus flavours brim with both minerality and dry extract that buffers the even firmer tannic spine shaping the hugely long and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is relatively succulent for a young Latricières but I suspect that the present inviting mouthfeel will be replaced in short order by something firmer and more austere. In short, this is stunningly good but it is not likely to make for especially inviting early drinking." 96 Points, Burghound, January 2018
