    Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2015

    ABV: 13.5%
    Region: Burgundy
    Country: France
    Producer: Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy
    Vegan: Yes
"The 2015 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is superb, offering up a classic bouquet of wild berries, cherry, grilled game, subtle mint and a framing of smoky new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, with true grand cru depth and dimension, its tannins fine-grained and its finish long and penetrating. This is a powerful Mazis-Chambertin that retains excellent energy and freshness despite its considerable volume, and which could compete with some of Gevrey's finest." 95 Points, Wine Advocate, William Kelley, April 2018

"The 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru has a beautifully composed, almost nonchalant bouquet with intense blackberry and wild strawberry fruit infused with superb mineral tension. You can feel the terroir here tingling on the tongue. The palate is wonderfully balanced with a sorbet-like freshness. This almost leaps around the mouth, barely able to contain its energy and there is bewitching salinity on the persistence finish. Frankly, it is one of the best Chambertin wines produced in 2015." 96/98 Points, Wine Advocate, Neal Martin. Dec 2016

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru, 2015 (Organic)

    ABV: 12.5%
    Region: Burgundy
    Country: France
Producer: Domaine Trapet Père et Fils
    Vegan: Yes
"A discreet application of wood frames the even more complex nose of high-toned, cool and airy aromas of red and dark cherry, forest floor, rose petal and spice elements. The sleek, intense and once again highly sophisticated middle-weight plus flavours brim with both minerality and dry extract that buffers the even firmer tannic spine shaping the hugely long and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is relatively succulent for a young Latricières but I suspect that the present inviting mouthfeel will be replaced in short order by something firmer and more austere. In short, this is stunningly good but it is not likely to make for especially inviting early drinking." 96 Points, Burghound, January 2018
