Established in 1953, the Azienda Agricola Molino is located near the ancient abbey of S. Martino di Marcenasco, in the heart of Barolo and includes Vigna Conca, one of the most famous crus of Langhe. Mauro started running the estate in 1978 and today owns 11 ha of vineyards situated in La Morra, Barolo and Montforte. From a plethora of exceptional plots, we have selected two superb single vineyard wines: Gattere & Gallinotto.

100% Nebbiolo

Vineyard & Vinification Note

Soil: calcareous clayey
Harvest time: mid-October
Vinification: maceration on the skins for 9 days in steel tanks at controlled temperature, alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks for 20 days, malolactic fermentation and ageing in French oak barriques for 18 months. Further ageing in the bottle for 4 months.

Tasting Note

Garnet red colour, with rich and intense bouquet of ripe fruits. Smooth palate, velvety tannins and long finish.

Another opulent 2012 from Molino with crushed strawberry, raspberry and lemon rind. Hints of stone. Full body, chewy tannins and a caressing textured finish. A beautiful young wine. Better in 2019 but excellent now. 93 Points

Food Pairing

Perfect partner to Italian food, ragú with pasta, wild mushroom risotto,  truffles. Great with Italian cheeses.

We offer FREE UK mainland delivery to most postcodes for all orders over £100.

Highlands and islands will be charged separately and calculated at checkout.

Delivery Schedule:

We deliver Monday to Friday, some bank holiday deliveries are possible, please check by replying to your confirmation email.

CENTRAL LONDON: We do our best to make all central London deliveries the next working day for orders placed before 12pm.

GREATER LONDON: Again for orders placed before noon we will endeavour to deliver the next day. Some areas might take us a little longer to cover, but it is unusual for these deliveries not to be within three working days.

UK MAINLAND: We deliver most orders around the rest of the UK within a working week, but some harder to reach postcodes like the north of Scotland or Isle of Wright might take longer. Please contact us for details.

Special Instructions:

If you have special delivery requirements e.g. by a specific date, am/pm, or deliver to a neighbour if out – please add them to the delivery instructions during checkout and we will try to fulfil them within reason.

You can also ask for a gift card with a personalised message to be added to your delivery at a cost, please contact us to arrange.

We cannot specify exact delivery times, but if you have a particular request or deadline to meet, do let us know by giving us a call on 0207 3269655 or sending an email to Orders@ChampagnesAndChateaux.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate all requests. Please make sure we have your correct contact telephone number with your order.

If you need your wine by a particular date, please let us know when ordering by replying to your order confirmation email. If you are in any doubt about when you might receive your order simply email or call us and we will let you know.

Receiving your Delivery:

Please ensure someone is present to receive and sign for the goods at the delivery address. Goods must be examined; any discrepancy with your order, any damage or errors must be reported and logged on the driver’s ePOD device. Please call us if in doubt.

If you have given us an alternative address or instructions to leave your delivery at a safe place, our driver will do that but this means that we can no longer be held responsible for any loss, damage or mispicks.

Should we be unable to deliver we will try and deliver on the next available day. We might have to charge you the cost of re-delivering. This will be confirmed by email.
