Producing wines since Roman times, today the estate is owned by the Roozen family, who are continually striving to produce delicious wine, whilst protecting their environment. A beautiful estate of 400 hectares, the 186 hectares of vineyard spread over the hills at altitudes ranging from 280m to 499m, the site of the famous plot ‘Les Griottes’. Les Griottes is an elegant and powerful wine, with a dark purple colour. Slightly spiced and smoked, with aromas of berries, dried plums, stewed fruits.

Yield: 30 hl/ hectare

Location: 15 hectares located on the heights of Val Joanis

Soil: Clay/limestone. Thick layer of pebble stones

Exposure: South/South East

Altitude: 499 metres/ 1637 feet

Vinification: Long maceration; 15/20 days. Stainless tank.

Ageing/Maturing: 12 months in 225 litres barrels. French oak . 30% of new barrels

Tasting Note

Les Griottes is an elegant and powerful wine, with a dark purple colour. Slightly spiced and smoked, with aromas of berries, dried plums, stewed fruits. Vegan.

Food Pairing

A perfect partner to a charcuterie board and Provencal dishes. Excellent with a cheese board (manchego, gouda, pont l’eveque, St Nectaire…)
