With production dating back to 1715 – Double Diamond was a firm favourite of Charles Dickens. Today our 10 year old blend has often been tasted against other brands and always shows well in any competition. The grapes come from the finest vineyards of the sun-baked upper Douro Valley. Carefully matured in oak casks in the cool, dark lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, it develops a rich, tawny colour and a smooth, complex taste with hints of apricots and dried fruits. Enjoy as a digestif, or serve it slightly chilled in the summer as an aperitif.
Dixon’s Double Diamond received 92 points and was highly recommended at Decanter’s recent Tawny Port tasting.
