Although the Tardy family have been growing grapes for generations, they only began to estate-bottle their Crozes-Hermitage in 1979. Now they are well established and reputable producers. Father and son, Charles and François farm 21 hectares of Syrah on the pebbly limestone terrace of Les Chassis, known for producing the finest Crozes-Hermitage reds and a further 6 hectares of white varieties, mainly Marsanne with a little Roussane. In 2000, they began implementing organic farming practices, and in 2012 they earned their official certification.

Tasting Note

Deep colour,  golden hue with green and silver shimmer. The subtle nose offers an elegant expression where the  fruit is accompanied by delicate notes of spicy nature, floral and smokey: marzipan and muscat grapes, cardamom and fennel, hawthorn and hot sand. The generous mouth combines density and delicacy with the support of a saline minerality. Vegan.

Food Pairing

Appetisers, grilled fish, ravioli and Roman pogne  (brioche scented with orange blossom extract)
