Domaine Gueugnon-Remond is a small family estate of 12 high quality hectares of vineyards concentrated on a 6km radius around Charnay-Les-Mâcon. Established in 1980 and run by second-generation winegrowers, Véronique and Jean-Christophe Rémond since 1997. They immediately decided to practice sustainable winegrowing when they took over. Bringing out the very core of the terroir, they are constantly looking for the purity of the fruit and the mature expression of the Chardonnay.

Grape

100% Chardonnay

Vineyard & Vinification Note

HVE3 certified (High environmental value certificate)

Selection of 60-year-old Chardonnay vines, on clay and limestone soils

Harvested early in the morning -“Aurore” means dawn.

Several hour Maceration: part of the alcoholic fermentation takes place in regulated tank. Then the wine is aged in oak casks (wood of several wines) which completes the breakdown of sugars, followed by malolactic fermentation.

After ten months of ageing, the wine is bottled.

Tasting Note

Full-bodied, round wine with well-integrated tannins. Beautifully aromatic range. Vegan.

Food Pairing

Great partner to fish, shellfish, white meat, and blue cheeses.
