Powerful, complex aromas, very distinguished.
They evoke red fruit (raspberry, cherry …) and flowers (violet, rose, carnations …) pepper and liquorice. With age the wine delivers a nose of leather and sumptuous venison.
Keep for 10 20 years. Vegan.
Allen Meadows’ Burghound
The ultra-fresh nose offers up pungently sauvage aromas of earth, game and dark berries that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is excellent richness to the broad-shouldered and muscular flavors that possess good size and weight before culminating in a mineral-driven and impressively long if youthfully austere finish. I like the balance and this should amply reward extended cellaring.93 Points, January 2016
A great partner of guinea fowl, chicken, duck, rack of lamb or a simple steak (no heavy sauces. Also good partner with cheeses (not pungent)
