Champagne Canard-Duchêne Léonie Brut NV

Every Christmas must have some great champagne in it!

Dedicated to the founder of the house, the Léonie Brut is the champagne of connoisseurs. The use of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in this cuvee combined with minimum ageing of 3 years creates excellent structure and richness.

The Cuvée Léonie Brut is seductive and elegant.

Food pairing: Perfect served as an aperitif and to enhance the finest foods. Foie gras and lightly smoked meagre. Gingerbread-crusted sea bass.  Chicken supreme with summer truffles.

Domaine du Chardonnay Chablis 2022

A classic white Burgundy for Christmas! A very typical Chablis, with refreshing acidity and lovely notes of citrus, almonds and white flowers

Food pairing: Ideal wine with fish, poultry, crayfish and lobsters.

Château de Ricaud, 2018, Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux

Another classic Bordeaux for the Christmas table.

One of our first wines on our list since 1989 and always a favourite with our restaurant customers. The consistently high standards of recent vintages have made this a rising star in Côtes de Bordeaux, offering well-structured, complex wines, combining intense fruit with lovely soft character.

Food pairing: Very versatile with food. Red and white meat, vegetables and side dishes (gratin dauphinois), cheese (Mimolette, Cheddar, Gruyère, Parmesan).

Domaine Fond Croze Côtes-du-Rhône rouge Le Serre de la Garde 2021 (organic), Rhône

Fruity and delicious, a beautiful balance between power, finesse and freshness. This is a great wine to serve and discover at Christmas!

Food pairing: Ideal with meat, a charcuterie platter, and cheeses such as comté, brie and some goats.

Domaine Bousquet Hunuc Malbec Tupungato Valle De Uco 2022 (Organic), Argentina

Another popular choice at Christmas is Malbec. This one is produced by the leader of organic wines in Argentina, Domaine Bousquet. Very high quality and high altitude wines.

Red and black fruit, figs and berries aromas. Medium body and round velvety tannins.

Food pairing: Ideal with red meat and cheeses

Dixon’s Double Diamond 10 Year Old Tawny Port 375ml

And finally, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a drop of port!

With production dating back to 1715 – Double Diamond was a firm favourite of Charles Dickens. The grapes come from the finest vineyards of the sun-baked upper Douro Valley. Carefully matured in oak casks in the cool, dark lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, it develops a rich, tawny colour and a smooth, complex taste with hints of apricots and dried fruits.

Food pairing: Enjoy as a digestif, or perfect with the Christmas cheese board!
