White wine selection:

Dourthe No 1 Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Bordeaux

Dourthe No 1 never fails vintage after vintage to produce a top Bordeaux at an incredible price. A bargain!

Crafted entirely from Sauvignon Blanc, the 2018 Dourthe N°1 blanc is an elegant, aromatic and full-flavoured white wine. Pronounced citrus fruit aromas of lemon and grapefruit jostle with compelling mineral notes.

Food pairing: We love this wine on its own but it is also delicious with seafood including oysters and prawns, shellfish (moules marinieres), fish-based starters (marinated salmon, ceviche, fish terrine), grilled fish, Asian food and cheeses (goats, comté and St Felicien)

Cannonberg Chenin Blanc 2018, South Africa

Micro Fair Trade – ethical – sustainable farming

Crisp, zesty and full of fruit. From cool vineyards in the mountains north of Cape Town.

Food pairing: Fresh seafood including crab, prawns and, most particularly, oysters. Tuna tartare, salmon and avocado tartare. Smoked salmon, sushi, goats cheese and also to be enjoyed as a great aperitif.

Vermentino Domaine Saint Hilaire 2018, Languedoc

A lively bouquet of lime zest and white flowers on the nose is followed by a sweet and sour explosion of grapefruit and pineapple on the palate

Food pairing: This crisp, dry white will accompany any dish where salt, lemon or salad dressings dominate

Bruno Andreu Aromatic Chardonnay 2017, Languedoc

Aromatic means the conviviality of South of France, the authenticity of unique varietals and the richness of the Terroir

Fresh, clean palate, with white peach character, slightly oaky.

Food pairing: Delicious with tagliatelle with clams and fresh saffron

Mount Vernon Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough, New Zealand

This is Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at its best – zesty, crisp, simultaneously herbaceous and tropical, beautifully aromatic. Delicious! An amazing price for a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!

Food pairing: Well flavoured fish dishes, Greek salads or just by itself

Picpoul de Pinet 2018 Château de Pinet, Cuvées des Comtesses, Languedoc

Picpoul de Pinet is always very popular so it was only natural to include one in our case. Château de Pinet is one of the oldest producers in the rgion. Cuvée des Comtesses is made from the younger vines, giving a classic Picpoul, fresh, vibrant but also deliciously aromatic

Food pairing: Great as aperitif, this wine is not only splendid with seafood and shellfish as well as other traditional Mediterranean dishes, but also with cheese and chocolate.

Red wine selection:

Hunuc Malbec 2019, Domaine Bousquet (Organic), Argentina

Domaine Bousquet produced very high quality and high altitude organic wines.

This wine is highly recommended by our team. The value for money is incredible. This is made by a small family farm,  Masseria Tagaro, in the beautiful Itria Valley – The heart of Puglia.

Intense and fruity with harmonic spicy notes with a soft and persistent taste with long balanced tannins.

Food pairing: ExExcellent with red meats on the grill, pasta with red meat, mediterranean dishes and slightly seasoned cheeses.

Sweet pepper aroma, vanilla, blackcurrant notes with supple tannins. Great length.

Food pairing: Great with grilled meats (a la plancha) with sautéed potatoes

Côtes-du-Rhone Domaine de l’Olivier 2018

Château Garreau 2016, Bordeaux Supérieur

Cherry, damsons and redcurrant fruit notes dominate on the concentrated bouquet. On the wonderfully rounded palate, red fruit aromas, enhanced by silky tannins define the wine. Delicious Bordeaux at an affordable price!

Waverley Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2016,  South Africa (Organic)
