Micro Fair Trade – ethical – sustainable farming

Crisp, zesty and full of fruit. From cool vineyards in the mountains north of Cape Town.

Dourthe No 1 Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Bordeaux

Dourthe No 1 never fails vintage after vintage to produce a top Bordeaux at an incredible price. A bargain!

Crafted entirely from Sauvignon Blanc, the 2018 Dourthe N°1 blanc is an elegant, aromatic and full-flavoured white wine. Pronounced citrus fruit aromas of lemon and grapefruit jostle with compelling mineral notes.

Food pairing: We love this wine on its own but it is also delicious with seafood including oysters and prawns, shellfish (moules marinieres), fish-based starters (marinated salmon, ceviche, fish terrine), grilled fish, Asian food and cheeses (goats, comté and St Felicien)

Picpoul de Pinet 2018 Château de Pinet, Cuvées des Comtesses, Languedoc

Picpoul de Pinet is always very popular so it was only natural to include one in our case. Château de Pinet is one of the oldest producers in the rgion. Cuvée des Comtesses is made from the younger vines, giving a classic Picpoul, fresh, vibrant but also deliciously aromatic

Food pairing: Great as aperitif, this wine is not only splendid with seafood and shellfish as well as other traditional Mediterranean dishes, but also with cheese and chocolate.

Vermentino Domaine Saint Hilaire 2018, Languedoc

A lively bouquet of lime zest and white flowers on the nose is followed by a sweet and sour explosion of grapefruit and pineapple on the palate

Food pairing: This crisp, dry white will accompany any dish where salt, lemon or salad dressings dominate

Aromatic Chardonnay 2018,Bruno Andreu, Languedoc

Aromatic means the conviviality of South of France, the authenticity of unique varietals and the richness of the Terroir

Fresh, clean palate, with white peach character, slightly oaky.

Food pairing: Delicious with tagliatelle with clams and fresh saffron

Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine-Sur-Lie aux Avineaux, 2018, Gadais Père et Fils

This traditional ‘sur lie’ maturation results in a Muscadet that is crisp and fresh yet with a certain richness. Perfect with shellfish and seafood or as an aperitif.

Food Pairing: Perfect with shellfish and seafood or as an aperitif.

Mâcon-Charnay, 2018, Domaine Gueugnon-Remond

Domaine Gueugnon-Remond is a small family estate of 12 high quality hectares of vineyards concentrated on a 6km radius around Charnay-Les-Mâcon. Established in 1980 and run by second-generation winegrowers, Véronique and Jean-Christophe Rémond since 1997. They immediately decided to practice sustainable winegrowing when they took over.

Bringing out the very core of the terroir, they are constantly looking for the purity of the fruit and the mature expression of the Chardonnay.

Food pairing: This Mâcon Charnay, in its early years will enjoy an aperitif and during maturation gladly accompany all kinds of bowls of vegetables or fish or white meat dishes and the famous small regional Mâcon.

Tradition white 2018 Lubéron, Château Val Joanis, Rhône

Château Val Joanis Tradition white is a dry, crisp, fresh wine with notes of flowers and white fruits.

Sauvignon de Touraine 2018, Domaine Jean-François Roy, Loire

Established in 1989, Domaine Roy today owns 28 hectares of vineyards situated in the three provinces of Touraine, Sologne and Berry. The Sauvignon de Touraine is fresh and clean with aromas of citrus & grapefruit.

Food pairing: Great on its own or paired with seafood, fish dishes and goat’s cheese

Gavi DOCG, 2018, Tenuta San Lorenzo

The Cazzulo Family Estate stands out from the others with its class and elegance, thanks to the experience handed down for more than 50 years.

A mineral and flinty wine with white peach fruit,  key lime and lime rind, yellow apple, papaya and herbal notes of sage and thyme. Creamy texture.

Food pairing: A great aperitif, it also pairs perfectly with antipasti, creamy pasta dishes, risotto, grilled fish, vegetable (particularly leeks) and seafood dishes.

Chardonnay Torrontes, 2018, Domaine Bousquet, Argentina (Organic)

Domaine Bousquet produced very high quality and high altitude organic wines.

On the nose, it shows tropical aromas and intense fruits like pineapple, mango and peach, with delicate floral notes. In the mouth, it has a persistent and intense beginning on the palate, with notes of fresh fruit and a lingering finish.

Food pairing: Ideal with seafood, fish, and Asian and spicy food.

Mount Vernon Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough, New Zealand

This is Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at its best – zesty, crisp, simultaneously herbaceous and tropical, beautifully aromatic. Delicious! An amazing price for a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!
