Château Val Joanis Les Griottes, 2015

Les Griottes is an elegant and powerful wine, with a dark purple colour. Slightly spiced and smoked, with aromas of berries, dried plums, stewed fruits

Food pairing: Perfect match with a rich beef dish, lamb casserole and game.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape Château La Nerthe, 2015 (organic)

The oldest winery in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Château La Nerthe has been a point of reference in the history of the vineyards and wines of France.

“An impressive nose with beautifully expressed ripe red cherry and raspberry fruits amid hints of wild herbs and subtly played spicy oak. The palate is seamless and holds pure red cherry and raspberry fruit long. Drink now. James Suckling, 93 Points, August 2017

“Ripe and bright, with a mix of plum, raspberry and blueberry fruit flavors that are well-defined, picking up anise as well as singed sandalwood and juniper notes along the way. The fruit stays persistent through the finish, with a perfumed hint filling in. Best from 2020 through 2035. 9,860 cases made.” Wine Spectator, James Molesworth, – 92 Points, June 2018

“There’s almost 20% new oak in this 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape, which gives it an overlay of exotic toasted coconut and vanilla aromas and flavors. Beyond that, there’s ample weight, hints of cinnamon and clove and cherry fruit that lingers on the silky finish.” Wine Advocate, Joe Czerwinski – 92 Points, Oct 17

Food pairing: Great with a wild boar casserole, rack of lamb with thyme or a duck fillet.

St Joseph Rouge Ro-Ré Louis Chèze, 2014

Starting out in 1978 with just 1 hectare of vineyard, today Louis works around 30 hectares of vines. The reds are aged in barrel, using a mélange of eight different coopers to achieve his house style of silky texture, lilting perfume, and supple sanguine finishes

“A pretty, understated style, with a caressing feel to the flavors of cherry and plum preserves, lifted by a white pepper note that runs throughout. Reveals a lilting violet hint on the elegant finish. Drink now through 2019.” Wine Spectator, James Molesworth  89 Points, – Oct 2016

Food pairing: Red meats, Asian cuisine, Specialties of Ardèche

Côte-Rotie “Champon” Domaine Stéphane Pichat, 2014

Stéphane is a very talented, young winemaker who started producing wine in 2000.  Champon orignates from 3 Parcels (Champon’s, Plomb and Cognet) and is barrel-aged for 24 months.

“Moving to the two 2014s, these are both beautiful wines that excel in the vintage. The inky-colored 2014 Côte Rôtie Champon’s is a more rounded, soft and sexy red that offers plenty of plums, smoked herbs, licorice and peppery herbs in its medium-bodied, broad and expansive personality. Drink it over the coming 7-10years. ” Wine Advocate, Jeb Dunnuck, 92 points – December 2016

Food pairing: The perfect partner to meat dishes. Beef casseroles, hearty stews, Moroccan lamb barbecues and rich sausage casseroles such as a cassoulet.

Crozes Hermitage rouge Domaine des Entrefaux, 2016 (organic)

Father and son, Charles and François farm 21 hectares of Syrah on the pebbly limestone terrace of Les Chassis, known for producing the finest Crozes-Hermitage reds.

Very deep garnet colour with black, tan and purple tints. The nose opens early on a mineral touch and offers a delicious fruit expression, accompanied by floral and spicy notes: warm sand, violet, fruit and alcohol confit, four spices. The mouth is warm and round and has a soft texture with silky tannins

Food pairing: Can be enjoyed throughout a meal. Great with a beef stew, cassoulet, morrocan tagine and coq au vin.

Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane Pierre Amadieu, 2015

Domaine Grand Romane is a unique vineyard located on the highest part of our family estate: The pebbly limestone terroir is poor, thus forcing the vines to put down deep roots and, out of their struggle, outstanding wines with complex aromas, a deep colour and concentrated fruit are born. The quantity is low but the quality is perfect.

“Moving to the 2015s, the 2015 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane is flat-out terrific, with lots of black raspberries, cherries, garrique, and saddle leather aromas and flavors. This rounded, opulent and supple beauty makes the most of the vintage and has a beautiful fruit, sweet tannin, and integrated acidity. Bravo.” Jeb Dunnuck.com. 92 Points, October 2017

“Dark plum and raspberry paste flavors are at the core of this solidly built red, backed by singed alder, liquorice root and tar hints through the finish. Shows some heft, but there’s good energy to match. Best from 2018 through.” Wine Spectator, James Molesworth, 91 Points –  October 2017

“Another beautiful wine from this large estate is the 2015 Gigondas Domaine Grande Romane, which is 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and the rest Syrah. Coming from higher elevation parcels and brought up in a mix of used and new barrels, it offers tons of peppery herbs, lavender, blackcurrants and spice aromatics. Medium to full-bodied, round, textured and balanced, it’s a rock solid Gigondas to drink over the coming 7-9 years.” Wine Advocate, Jeb Dunnuck-89-92 Points -December 2016

Food pairing: The perfect accompaniment for game, such as wild boar.
