Andrée Trapet (Jean-Louis’ wife, see Domaine Trapet Père & Fils in our Burgundy section) took over her parents’ vineyards in 2002. An only daughter with a profound affection for her local soil, she converted the Domaine to biodynamic methods. The estate comprises some of the best Grand crus vineyards in Alsace. The wines, like their Burgundy relatives, are all about finesse and elegance. They are characterised by purity, solidity, minerality, density like a diamond, viscosity, verticality, and everything is wrapped by delicacy and softness.

Vineyard & Vinification Note

Situated to the north of Riquewihr, the vineyard runs along the rather steep south and south-east flanks of the Schoenenbourg hillside, at an altitude of 265 to 380 metres.

It covers an area of 53,40 ha, over a water-retaining subsoil of Keuper, marl, dolomite and gypsum, rich in fertilising agents, overlaid with fine layers of quaternary siliceous gravel, Vosges sandstone and Muschelkalk, with at its eastern extremity  outcropsof Lias marl limestones.

Tasting Note

Lovely floral and citrus fruity nose. Very fruity and mineral, incredibly elegant, complex and round. Great acidity and super length. Vegan.

The 2012 Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg has a fascinatingly deep, clear, precise and lemon-flavoured bouquet indicating an almost aristocratic flintiness and purity. Piquant and highly elegant on the palate this dry, full-bodied and tension-filled Riesling is minerally structured and marked by its delicately racy acidity and aromatic intensity. Delivery Information

We offer FREE UK mainland delivery to most postcodes for all orders over £100.

Highlands and islands will be charged separately and calculated at checkout.

Delivery Schedule:

We deliver Monday to Friday, some bank holiday deliveries are possible, please check by replying to your confirmation email.

CENTRAL LONDON: We do our best to make all central London deliveries the next working day for orders placed before 12pm.

GREATER LONDON: Again for orders placed before noon we will endeavour to deliver the next day. Some areas might take us a little longer to cover, but it is unusual for these deliveries not to be within three working days.

UK MAINLAND: We deliver most orders around the rest of the UK within a working week, but some harder to reach postcodes like the north of Scotland or Isle of Wright might take longer. Please contact us for details.

Special Instructions:

If you have special delivery requirements e.g. by a specific date, am/pm, or deliver to a neighbour if out – please add them to the delivery instructions during checkout and we will try to fulfil them within reason.

You can also ask for a gift card with a personalised message to be added to your delivery at a cost, please contact us to arrange.

If you need your wine by a particular date, please let us know when ordering by replying to your order confirmation email. If you are in any doubt about when you might receive your order simply email or call us and we will let you know.

Receiving your Delivery:

Please ensure someone is present to receive and sign for the goods at the delivery address. Goods must be examined; any discrepancy with your order, any damage or errors must be reported and logged on the driver’s ePOD device. Please call us if in doubt.

If you have given us an alternative address or instructions to leave your delivery at a safe place, our driver will do that but this means that we can no longer be held responsible for any loss, damage or mispicks.

Should we be unable to deliver we will try and deliver on the next available day. We might have to charge you the cost of re-delivering. This will be confirmed by email.
