Champagne Thiénot Brut NV

This blend of the three classic Champagne grape varieties is the signature style of Thiénot, the epitome of finesse, fruit and freshness, offering spring-like notes, beautiful balance and a long finish. The House’s great classic.

“Plenty of bright, ripe-fruit aromas here – rich peaches, pears and grilled almonds. The palate has a very composed feel and a deeper, savory attitude with light honey and grilled nuts. A lot of character for the first cuvée. 2013 base with 45 per cent reserve wine. Drink now.” 91 Points, James Suckling, September 2018

Food pairing: Perfect for aperitif, cuvée Thiénot Brut pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish or fish tartare.

Mâcon-Charnay, 2018, Domaine Gueugnon-Remond

Domaine Gueugnon-Remond is a small family estate of 12 high quality hectares of vineyards concentrated on a 6km radius around Charnay-Les-Mâcon. Established in 1980 and run by second-generation winegrowers, Véronique and Jean-Christophe Rémond since 1997. They immediately decided to practice sustainable winegrowing when they took over.

Bringing out the very core of the terroir, they are constantly looking for the purity of the fruit and the mature expression of the Chardonnay.

Food pairing: This Mâcon Charnay, in its early years will enjoy an aperitif and during maturation gladly accompany all kinds of bowls of vegetables or fish or white meat dishes and the famous small regional Mâcon.

Albariño Davila, Rías Baixas DOC, 2018, Adegas Valmiñor

This Albariño has elegant aromas of tropical fruits and floral notes. The palate is well balanced, fresh and rich with a fine and lengthy finish.

Food pairing: As well as to be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing aperitif, this Albariño is perfect with a plate of oysters, a seafood platter and fish. Great with citrus-based fish dishes but also can cut through some creamy or buttery dishes due to its acidity.

Tradition Rosé Lubéron, 2019, Château Val Joanis

Château Val Joanis Tradition 2019 is a fresh and delicious rosé dominated by notes of red berries, yellow peaches and citrus fruits.

The new 2019 vintage comes in a new Provencal shaped bottle.

Food pairing: Beautiful aperitif. It pairs well with asparagus, artichokes, chicken, crab cakes and seafood. Also a great accompaniment to Provencal food, anchovies, grilled sardines and tapenade

Grand Vin de Château de Ricaud, 2015, Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux

The consistently high standards of recent vintages have made this a rising star in Côtes de Bordeaux, offering well-structured, complex wines, combining intense fruit with lovely soft character.

“The 2015 de Ricaud, which has 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot, has a focused, detailed bouquet with crisp blackberry and briary scents, a touch of cedar in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good depth and freshness with a sappy, harmonious finish that has really blossomed in barrel. This Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux comes recommended. Excellent.”  91 Points, Wine Advocate, Neal Martin, March 2018

Food pairing: Drink with grilled red meat or meat and gravy (steak rib with shallot, foie gras scallop with raisin, meatballs in sauce, rabbit stew…), roasted poultry (quails and plum, guinea fowl with chestnuts, chicken and mushrooms-filled vol-au-vent) and cheeses such as camembert, brie de meaux and goat cheese.

Barbera d’Alba DOC, 2018, Mauro Molino

A very immediate Barbera, pleasant and fresh with good acidity and juicy fruit

“A fruity and easy Barbera with sliced plums, light orange peel and hints of hazelnuts. Medium-bodied, crisp and delicious. Drink now.” 91 Points, James Suckling June 2019

Food pairing: Perfect with antipasti, pizza, pasta and chicken
