Since 1669, the Gautier family has elaborated a selection of highly expressive Chenin Blanc wines.

The 15 ha Domaine de la Châtaigneraie  is situated in the heart of the Loire Valley in Rochecorbon and Parçay-Meslay on the right bank of the Loire River.

In 1981, Benoit Gautier became the newest member of the Gautier family and has been recognised as one of the most talented Vouvray winemakers of his generation, earning numerous national awards and assessed 90+ by The Wine Spectator on several occasions

100% Chenin Blanc

Vineyard & Vinification Note

Clay-limestone soil Acidity: 4.90 Residual sugar: 8g/l

Grass is planted between the vine rows to reduce yields and create a healthy natural ambiance. Gautier identifies and picks the Chenin Blanc vineyard parcels for his sparkling wines at the start of the harvest period, generally at 1.5 degrees lower in maturity than the fruit harvested 7-21 days later for the still wines.

Traditional Champagne Method

The bottles are stored in their 2kms long cellar in order to maturate on the lees. To maintain a dry, fresh and finesse style, Gautier typically uses only 8 grams per litre of cane sugar for the dosage


Tasting Note

Straw yellow color with green and gold highlights. Fine, tiny bubbles with a beautiful mousse. A fruity nose with aromas of citrus highlighted by delicate scents of white peach and flowers. In the mouth the attack is fresh and supple. The fruit takes over with subtle

flavours of citrus and white peach. Vegan.

Food Pairing

Perfect as an aperitif or with savoury tapas, charcuterie and sushi.

Delivery Information

We offer FREE UK mainland delivery to most postcodes for all orders over £100.

Highlands and islands will be charged separately and calculated at checkout.

Delivery Schedule:

We deliver Monday to Friday, some bank holiday deliveries are possible, please check by replying to your confirmation email.

CENTRAL LONDON: We do our best to make all central London deliveries the next working day for orders placed before 12pm.

GREATER LONDON: Again for orders placed before noon we will endeavour to deliver the next day. Some areas might take us a little longer to cover, but it is unusual for these deliveries not to be within three working days.

UK MAINLAND: We deliver most orders around the rest of the UK within a working week, but some harder to reach postcodes like the north of Scotland or Isle of Wright might take longer. Please contact us for details.

Special Instructions:

If you have special delivery requirements e.g. by a specific date, am/pm, or deliver to a neighbour if out – please add them to the delivery instructions during checkout and we will try to fulfil them within reason.

You can also ask for a gift card with a personalised message to be added to your delivery at a cost, please contact us to arrange.

We cannot specify exact delivery times, but if you have a particular request or deadline to meet, do let us know by giving us a call on 0207 3269655 or sending an email to Orders@ChampagnesAndChateaux.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate all requests. Please make sure we have your correct contact telephone number with your order.

If you need your wine by a particular date, please let us know when ordering by replying to your order confirmation email. If you are in any doubt about when you might receive your order simply email or call us and we will let you know.

Receiving your Delivery:

Please ensure someone is present to receive and sign for the goods at the delivery address. Goods must be examined; any discrepancy with your order, any damage or errors must be reported and logged on the driver’s ePOD device. Please call us if in doubt.

If you have given us an alternative address or instructions to leave your delivery at a safe place, our driver will do that but this means that we can no longer be held responsible for any loss, damage or mispicks.

Should we be unable to deliver we will try and deliver on the next available day. We might have to charge you the cost of re-delivering. This will be confirmed by email.
